Each pair is crocheted by hand, one clip at a time, by our maker Amanda — so the stitchwork varies slightly and no two pairs are quite identical. That's rather the point: these aren't stamped out by the thousand, and they look it.

Cotton thread also makes them gentle against fine hair, and soft enough that there's nothing hard or scratchy near a child's head. Light enough, too, to stay in through a whole school day without being noticed.
